The qualified candidate will have experience in enterprise level engineering and deployment strategies.
The engineer will provide the following support:
1. Technical and engineering support for a production implementation of Microsoft Lync 2010.
2. Advise in efforts to implement additional functionality, streamline support requirements, and reduce the overall cost of managing Lync and similar technologies.
3. Support for Lync as part of implementation of virtual computing initiatives.
The engineer will be expected to create documentation and training materials for the planned expansion of features and product adoption.
In addition to the above requirements, the engineer will also work as part of a support team that will participate in feature testing Microsoft Lync 2013 for a migration to that platform.
The engineer will work collaboratively in a team environment and have effective oral and written communication skills. It is required that the resource communicate effectively with audiences ranging from technology engineering to company management.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or in a related field is preferred.
Microsoft Lync 2010 or 2013
Implementation of product features beyond presence and instant messaging in a large-scale environment
Mobile and federated configurations of edge servers
Experience with similar or related collaboration technologies
Implementation and support of Lync with thin clients and virtual clients
Proficiency with a relevant scripting language like PowerShell or PHP will be helpful
Experience with SMART Room System for Microsoft Lync is a plus
