A Large New England Based Healthcare Provider
This large New England based healthcare provider was in the midst of a rapid expansion of it services which included building and integrating two new facilities as well as merger and acquisition activity. These expansion efforts placed a significant burden on the telecom staff as they kept up with normal operations in addition to the increased workload generated by the expansion activity.
When the increased workload got to the point of being nearly impossible to manage with the existing staff, the hospital turned to Partner Consulting for help. Partner provided a project manager to act as the hospital’s facilities telecom project manager.
In this role, the Partner PM attended facilities and departmental meetings to discuss the many changes the hospital was faced with due to rapid expansion plans. During this time, the hospital made a decision to implement a state of the art VoIP phone system. All future phone work would require a migration to this new system. While working with the facilities team, the PM coordinated and managed many critical departmental moves. The PM also worked with departmental stakeholders in the planning and design of how a new VoIP phone system would best support their departments. The PM was responsible for coordinating with multiple trades as well as with the IT department to make sure the build-out of new facilities would meet departmental communication needs. The Partner PM worked on site alongside of the hospital employees, making his role seamless to the employees that he worked with. The Partner PM developed a job description and worked with IT management to hire and train a resource to take on the position full time.
Since this initial engagement Partner Consulting has become a “go to” resource for this client, helping them meet numerous short and long-term staffing needs.
